I am Tom Penney, visual artist studying game design at JMC Academy, Melbourne and with an Hons. Degree in Fine Art from Curtin University, Perth. The term "Erthly" comes from a Perth writer I met who came up with the pun "Erth" as an alternative version of "Perth"; a virtual, parallel version of it. I like to see my characters displaying symptoms of "Erthliness" both in the worldly, and, parochially self-caricatured sense.
